Killer Heels

Hi there everybody.  Today's card was made using another freebie from Tattered Lace which is their stiletto heel die which has been so popular, and I was really pleased to see it as a freebie a month or two back and I've only just got round to using it.  I can hear you saying 'not another freebie', but I have been unable to resist as there have been so many really lovely dies and embossing folders with magazines recently that have just begged me to take them home .. lol.

As you can see the title is quite appropriate as heels of that height would certainly kill me were I to try to wear them ...lol.  I die cut two of them from snippets of pearlescent white card and another two from some snippets of a light turquoise glitter card.  I decided to add some bits of the glitter card ones to the white pair to highlight the more flourishy parts, and after I started cutting and snipping the very tiny pieces and gluing them to the white stilettos I began to regret this rash move!  Lets just say that quite a bit of time and patience was required as it was rather fiddly!

I had a left over piece of background from this card here and I cut it back and made a fancy edge using a Sue Wilson Gemini Border die called Pictor which is another NBUS item, and fixed this to another snippet of the same glitter card which I backed with a snippet of dark blue card before adhering it to my usual square white base card.

I finished the card with a sentiment cut from another snippet of dark blue card which I first backed  with a piece of Stick It adhesive.

Before I finish I would just like to introduce a new follower Kath whose blog you will find here, and I hope those that haven't seen it will go and take a look at her wonderful creations.

Thank you for all the interest you show in my blog which I greatly appreciate.

This is a stuning card. You have so much patience to fussy cut and reglue all those detailed elements. Amazing that this beautiful die was a freebie!
Was this a freebie with the Tattered Lace magazine? If so, I will check out my local papercraft shop as they carry the back issues

Beautiful card Pat. Hey, the more freebies the better especially if they are as pretty as this one. Hope your week is going well.

I can see that it must have taken time and effort to do, Pat, but it was definitely worth all the effort that went into it!!!! Love your beautiful stilettos, but I have to say that at this stage of my life I can't wear them any more!!! Beautiful die cut border, too and lovely colours!!!! I think any young lady would really appreciate this lovely card!!!!!
Have a great day!!!

Glad you persevered with all those fiddly bits as your card has turned out lovely. My daughter buys a couple of magazines each month and I get passed all the freebie papers and any other enclosed items that she doesn't want. I never buy paper packs.
I love the edging you have used too. Must admit I have just purchased a pair of killer stilettos but they are for crafting with not wearing!! hugs Mrs A.

Absolutely lovely card Pat and I do love those killer heels. No way could I wear those now although I did at one time. That's a super die and love how you used it to make a pair.

Love those killer heels and your lovely card. Someone has just lent me that die to play with but I don't think I'll have the patience to do the fiddly bits even though it looks fabulous!

What a fabulous shoe die, Pat! I know someone who would love a pair of shoes like these. A brilliant card - worth all the effort of snipping and sticking all the fiddly bits! xx

Wish I could wear pretty shoes like this! I'd probably break my neck, but I'd feel like I looked like a million dollars!
