Time for a Tango!

Hi there everybody.  Another anniversary card today, not many more on my list though now we are getting into September, and I decided to use this new stamp set acquired recently from Art Journey Stamps called, unsurprisingly, Dance, and as the tango is considered to be quite a passionate dance, especially the Argentinian variety, I thought this image would be something just a bit different for an anniversary.

I stamped the image using Versafine Ink in Deep Lagoon and as it is a silhouette and  quite a large stamp I used my Misti so that I could ink it several times.  I noticed that inking it more heavily the bit of script across the bodies of the dancers got filled in rather which is  shame but I did want a good heavy coverage.  I then heat embossed it with WOW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder.

I then decided to make a heart pattern in the background which I did with a heart stencil made from a piece of acetate using a heart die, and which I have kept and used many times.  I inked blended with Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks using the Cracked Pistachio around the edges.  I did four to form a sort of flower in the background.

I finished with the sentiment stamped and embossed with the Deep Lagoon Ink and then Clear Gloss EP, and I used the Clear Gloss on the clock faces too using the Versamark Pen.

Thank you for visiting me here today and I hope to see you again soon.

What a perfect stamp and card.... with the passion of the Tango and the romance of an Anniversary x. The blended hearts look so pretty and I like how you used four to make a beautiful flower and background. Thanks for the information about the script being filled in as you continued to stamp Pat x. Glorious Anniversary card and the colour combination looks stunning too x.
