Hi everybody. I bought this Creative Expression Waterlily stamp set a while ago and have just used it for the first time. I have made it a one layer card to enter the Less is More Challenge which asks for flowers and also I used yellow and blue which are the colour choices for the Colour Hues Challenge this time. I mixed the yellow and blue together for the leaves making more of a bluey green though it doesn't really look like that in the photo.
I stamped the main image in the set using my Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and then heat embossed it with WOW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder and coloured the flowers with a waterbrush using first a lighter yellow - Adirondack Sunshine Yellow, and shaded with Fossilised Amber, and then painted the water with Broken China. I also used the blue on the stamens of the flower. I then mixed the two colours and coloured the leaves with a more watery version and then a bit stronger to shade. I also stamped the smaller dragonfly using the Nocturne ink and coloured with the same colours and added some Clear Wink of Stella on the wings and also a little on the stamens of the flower.
I finished by adding a sentiment again using the Nocturne ink and heat embossed with the Clear EP.
Thank you for visiting me here today and I hope you will come again soon.
I am also entering the following challenges:
NBUS Challenge - No. 24 Where we use our Never Before Used Schtuff.
Happy Little Stampers March Watercolour Challenge - Anything Goes.
Stamplorations March CAS Challenge - Anything CAS Goes.
