Scored Frame Anniversary

Hi everybody.   I love using Brushos and some of the mop up paper towel looks quite pretty and this piece in particular caught my eye.  I also used the largest scalloped heart and plain heart from a Nellie Snellen Multi Frame Heart set.  This is quite a simple card and the CAS Watercolour February Challenge has the theme of hearts, it being the month of love, so I thought I would join in with this card.

I die cut the plain heart first from a snippet of white card.  I then added some PVA glue all over it and covered it with the piece of kitchen towel which I flattened as much as possible.  I then cut round it with scissors leaving just a small piece to turn over on the wrong side and glued it down with the PVA.  I then cut the large scalloped heart from another snippet of white card and coloured with Yellow Brusho.  I sprinkled a little on to my glass mat and spritzed it and then laid the heart into it and moved it around until it was covered with the paint.  When dry I layered the plain heart over the scalloped one.  I thought the plain white 6" square base card needed a bit of interest so I scored three lines in each direction which left a square in the middle where I mounted the heart.  I then stamped the sentiment using Versafine Smokey Gray Ink and heat set it with WOW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and I'll see you again soon.

Ah! So that's where I am going wrong - I need to be using paper towels to mop up my brusho mess - not anything I can find lying round!!!
Lovely centrepiece for your heart Pat and a great card!

Gorgeous card Pat - such pretty colours and how clever to use the paper towel. Much too lovely to throw away for sure. And clever to add the lines around the card just to add interest - I always forget that tip and it's always so effective too!

I love the brusho mop up! I never think to use mine and I like this idea you have with tacking onto the stabilizing card stock. Love the marbled colors against this pop of bright yellow, and both hearts look so pretty against the cool white. Love the scoring details too. Oh yes, this is just beautiful & so creative CAS! TFS
