Hi there everybody. I am back with an entry for the CAS Mix Up Challenge which this time is a watercolour theme..Loose Watercolouring to be exact.
I placed the flourish stamp in my stamp positioner and I started with the blue putting little bits of the powder straight on to the stamp. I then spritzed with some water and moved the colour around with a waterbrush and stamped onto a piece of white card. I kept going back in and moving the colour till I thought the coverage was good, and then I did the same with the green. It pooled a bit in the centre but I thought that added to the loose watery look, and I also spattered a little of the Rich Gold powder which I have too. I just added some water to it on my glass mat and loaded my waterbrush and tapped it to splatter the background a little... it's very fine so it isn't easy to see. I then die cut it using a stitched square die cutting it down a bit as the stamp is rather large. It does look a bit like cream card but is definitely white, and was a leftover piece sitting on the table and seemed to match OK until I saw the photo, although in real life it looks fine.
I continued with the background white card cut to fit my 6" square card and die cut an aperture using the same sized die and I then dry embossed the stencil onto it. I finished by adding a sentiment using Versafine and heat embossed it with WOW Metallic Rich Gold Embossing Powder and added the background onto the card setting the topper into the aperture.
Thank you for visiting me here today and I hope to see you again soon.

Beautiful example of using powdered watercolours on a stamp, love the loose watercolour effect ♥
Beautiful Loosely Watercoloured flower, Pat. I love your dry embossed background and your die cut flower image, which added a sweet stitched frame. TFS my friend and joining us at CAS Mix Up. Love and Hugs..Nancy
Absolutely beautiful, Pat. Clever idea to us the stencil for the embossing. xx
A delightful watercolour effect for a CAS creation Pat, many thanks for sharing with us at Stamping Sensations January challenge.
Fab make, such an elegant card with the watercolour effect and loving the embossing detail too
Happy Friday to you and your readers
Beautiful example of loose watercolour which must look spectacular for real with the glimmer from the Pixie powders. The embossing detail is good as well, more interesting than a plain frame.
Love the soft watercoloured effect on the flourish Pat, such pretty colours and of course there is embossing with stencils! Must remember that! Thankyou too for playing along at Seize the Birthday, Cathy x
I love this embossed frame for your beautiful flower. Just perfect for a beautiful card. Thanks for linking up with us at Seize the Birthday Challenge.

Great idea to use Pixie Powder and blend on the stamp. Looks amazing! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at CAS Mix Up this month:)
This is so pretty, Pat! I love the result! The direct-to-stamp technique is my favorite, but I have never tried it with powdered colors and now I want to do it immediately! Love the frame and fine schplatters, too. Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
Lovely CAS design, simple and elegant! Thanks for playing with us at Country View Challenges!
This is so pretty, Pat! I love how the Pixie Powders blended and ran together for a loose watercolor look! The embossing from a stencil is fantastic. I've never been able to get a good impression with stencils. Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at CAS Mix Up!
